Shiraoi Station

On my trip to Hokkaido, I went to Shiraoi Station. Do you know Shiraoi Town? It may not be a very well-known place, but the Ainu people built the foundation of the town's history here, and promoting Ainu culture is one of the town's development measures. In 2020, "Upopoy," a facility that symbolizes ethnic coexistence, was opened, allowing you to experience different cultures. In addition, "Hoshino Resorts Kai Poroto" will open in January 2022, and you can enjoy a stay there, as well as various activities at Lake Poroto depending on the season. This time, I stopped by a cafe called "Horyu" near the station, and the morning set at this cafe was very delicious.
