Luojia Temple - Fujian Trip

I've long admired Quanzhou, or more precisely, Luojia Temple. Before it became popular, I saw pictures of the red-brick temple with green tiles standing on the waves. The temple's tranquility and independence, even in the face of the roaring waves, captivated me at first sight. Perhaps the heavens couldn't bear to let a devoted person be too disappointed. After a night of wind and rain, the next morning brought a bit of sunshine. Early morning is low tide, so the scene I wanted of waves crashing against the shore and the sunset painting Luojia Temple red was not to be this time. After the tide receded, Luojia Temple appeared rugged and ordinary, but the strange clouds in the sky offered a bit of compensation. Buddhist kingdom on the sea, may we meet again!
