Longhekou Reservoir Memorial Hall is located in Wanfo Lake Town, Shucheng County, Anhui Province, on the eastern slope of the Dabie Mountains, in the middle of Shucheng County, and upstream of the Hangbu River. It has a water surface area of 50 square kilometers, a water capacity of 903 million cubic meters, and a water quality that meets the Class I standard for surface water. It is one of the five major reservoirs in western Anhui and an important part of the Pi, Shi, and Hang water conservancy projects. It is a water conservancy project that is a miracle not only in the history of water conservancy in China but also in the world. The construction of Longhekou Reservoir took place during the three years of hardship in China. The Shucheng County Committee of the Communist Party of China and the county people's government mobilized all the cadres and people in the county to carry forward the heroic spirit of self-reliance and hard work, and everyone did their best to overcome difficulties.
