Wang Xigun was a fourth-rank lieutenant general under the Qing regent Dorgon. He followed the Qing army into the pass and made outstanding military achievements. Rumor has it that he was granted the title of Lord of the Nanyao Mountains, where he rode horses and occupied a pen, and built a manor on a large scale. Another version is that the manor was built by Wang Xigun, a secret envoy of Dorgon, in the south of Beijing with silver allocated from the treasury. It was a private residence for the people and an official outside the capital. After Dorgon's death, the manor became the property of Wang Xigun. The architecture of Wang's Manor is different from both imperial palaces and government offices and ordinary residential houses. It is the best of residential architecture in northern my country.
