Dafoguang Temple

Dafoguang Temple, located in Fenghuang Mountain, Shunping County, Baoding, is a Buddhist holy place founded by Master Zhenguang in 2010. The temple is backed by Yuhuangtuo of Langya Mountain to the north, the ancient Beiyue Hengshan Mountain to the west, overlooks Baoding Ancient City and Xiongan New Area to the east, and is adjacent to Kangguan Ancient Town to the south. This place is not only the cradle of the sinicization of Buddhism, but also known as an important place for Zen meditation experience and promotion of Chinese culture. During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Master Daoan built temples and pagodas in this area, lectured on Buddhist scriptures and taught disciples, making important contributions to the sinicization of Buddhism. The famous monk Master Hsing Yun has visited the temple twice to give teachings, adding a profound cultural heritage to the temple. The Dafoguang Temple is solemn and magnificent with its simple and elegant modern architectural style of ancient Chinese style. The towering mountains are covered with clouds and the majestic temples reflect the morning glow. The temple has both the elegance of a traditional garden and pristine green space.
