Who can resist the savoury spiciness of homemade sambal and the rich creamy flavour of coconut milk! 🤤 Opened by the folks behind @hopscotch_sg , Cherki is their latest concept that serves craft cocktails which are heavily inspired by Peranakan culture! 🥃 The name Cherki is derived from a long-forgotten card game that is popular among Peranakan households. Rather than just cocktails, they place a lot of emphasis on making their food just as good, especially when it’s Peranakan cuisine (you don’t mess with them when it comes to food). 😅 Most of their dishes are heavily influenced by ingredients that are common in Southeast Asia, so every dish hits close to home for us. Our personal favourite is the Laksa Lobster Linguine, which is mildly spicy and has the nice flavour of Vietnamese coriander. 🥘 The Foie Gras Duck Confit Fried Rice is full of 𝘸𝘰𝘬𝘩𝘦𝘪, but the foie gras is a little on the dry side. 🍛 #singaporetrip#food
