This 3-Storey Fried Chicken Spot at Bugis Is a Must-Try for Taiwanese Street Food Lovers

#springitinerary If you’ve been wandering around the Bugis area and craving some solid Taiwanese fried chicken, there’s a bright yellow building at North Bridge Road you can’t miss—Super Chicken has landed in Singapore, and it’s more than just hype. This outlet is housed in a charming 3-storey shophouse at 56 Tan Quee Lan Street, just a short walk from Bugis MRT. The whole building is painted a cheerful yellow, with a huge "Super Chicken" sign that instantly draws your attention. What stood out to me was how fun and energetic the vibe was, especially at night when the neon lights are glowing and the place buzzes with activity. Inside, the space spans across two levels for dine-in. The design leans into modern industrial aesthetics—think grey tones, yellow accents, and bold lighting. It’s casual, slightly edgy, and great for hanging out with friends while you tuck into some seriously crispy fried chicken. Their signature item is the bone-in Taiwanese fried chicken steak. It’s massive, juicy, and coated in a super crunchy batter that’s seasoned just right. You get to pick from three flavours: pepper, plum, or cumin, and choose your spice level too. The Taiwanese salted crispy chicken is another must-try, especially if you’re into that street snack vibe. Crispy chicken skin? Yes, they have that too, and it’s addictive. If you're coming with a friend or two, the long box snack set is perfect for sharing. It's packed with an assortment of fried goodies and honestly pretty value-for-money. They also have set meals starting from \$9.90, which include a canned drink, and larger sharing sets from \$25.90. To balance out the fried indulgence, there’s a drink menu featuring Thai milk tea, bubble tea, and lemon tea. I went with the scented lemon tea, which was surprisingly refreshing with the heavy flavours of the fried chicken. One of the best things? They’re open from 12pm all the way till 5am daily. So whether you're looking for a hearty lunch, post-shopping snack, or late-night supper spot near Bugis, Super Chicken has got you covered. Definitely bookmarking this one for future late-night cravings.
