🥟 Sha Xian Delicacies @ West Coast Plaza – Room for Improvement

I recently visited the newly opened Sha Xian Delicacies at West Coast Plaza and decided to try their wanton soup, hoping for a comforting, traditional bowl. However, I was quite disappointed with what was served. Instead of the usual minced meat filling, the wantons had a texture and taste that resembled fish paste, which was unexpected and not particularly enjoyable. The broth was light but lacked depth in flavour, making the whole dish rather underwhelming. The service was noticeably slow, even though the shop wasn’t packed. It looked like the team was still new and not yet well-coordinated — from taking orders to serving food, everything moved at a sluggish pace. While I understand every new eatery needs some time to iron things out, first impressions do matter, and this one didn’t leave the best taste — literally and figuratively. Hopefully, with time and better training, the quality of food and service will improve.
