Phu Phrao Temple

Wat Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Phrao, or popularly known as Wat Rueang Saeng, is located in Sirindhorn District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. It is a temple located on a high hill, imitating the environment of Wat Pa Himmapan or Khao Kailas. On the top of the hill, you can see the golden colored chapel standing out prominently. The highlight of the temple is the green glowing image of the Kalpavriksha tree, which is a painting on the wall behind the chapel at night. The best time to come and see and take pictures is from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you are lucky, you will also see many stars in the sky. However, this glowing image, when viewed with the naked eye, is only slightly visible. It is not as green as when taken with a camera.
