Maha Phuttharam Temple

#summerdream Wat Maha Phuttharam or Wat Phra To, the history of its origins dates back to around 1785, when the city of Sisaket was relocated from Ban Non Sam Kha, Sa Kamphaeng, to the current location of the City Pillar Shrine. This temple was built in the area where Luang Pho To was found. Inside the temple’s chapel, there is a Buddha image that is a symbol of Sisaket, which is “Luang Pho To”, a large Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, 6.85 meters high from the base to the top of the head, and 3.50 meters wide at the lap. This temple is also the provincial meditation center.
