This iron-cast pier, which stretches out into the Thames estuary, is the longest pier in the world and a favorite of local fishermen. The pier extends over 1.25 miles (2 km) into the Thames estuary, with a train service carrying passengers to the end of the pier. Sit down in the exhibition hall's cafe for a cup of coffee or a snack and enjoy the vast view of the opposite bank. On a clear day, you can enjoy the best view of the town from the rooftop terrace.
