It’s the only lodge located inside the park, so you wake up surrounded by towering red cliffs and the sounds of nature. I stayed in one of the historic cabins, which had a cozy, rustic charm but still offered modern comforts like heating, a private porch, and soft beds—perfect after hiking Angels Landing. The lodge’s Red Rock Grill serves hearty meals with incredible canyon views. I enjoyed a filling breakfast before hitting the trails, and for dinner, their local trout and roasted veggies were surprisingly refined for an in-park restaurant. It’s casual, family-friendly, and very convenient. What I loved most was the peace in the early morning and late evening—no crowds, just nature. If you want to avoid the hassle of daily shuttles and be steps away from Zion’s best hikes, Zion Lodge is absolutely worth it.
