Stradbrooke island!!

Address - Stradbroke island (straddie) 1 hour 30 from Brisbane Highlights - seeing the wild kangaroos up close, they were so friendly and happy to come close to you and jump around while you sit and eat or just enjoy the sun. Whale watching as it is whale season in east Australia at the minute (June/july) completely free and there are specific spots build specifically for this with a perfect view of the ocean from a high point. Lots of lovely restaurants and bars, locals are really friendly and it’s not too busy! Bus made it really accessible to get around the island, however only run every hour so make sure to check the times. We got a ferry from Cleveland (1 hour train journey from Brisbane city) which was very cheap $20 for a return and took around 25 minutes Rating -10/10 great budget friendly day out
