Hotel Tandem — A Pleasant Surprise in Strasbourg 🏨✨

#summervacay Before heading to Strasbourg, I spent quite some time choosing the right hotel. My husband had meetings at the EU Parliament — just one round trip each day, so proximity wasn’t the biggest deal, as long as public transport was convenient 🚍. While he was busy for two days, I planned to explore the city at my own pace. I wanted a hotel right in the city center so I could easily come back and rest between sightseeing without too much hassle. One downside of many city-center hotels is parking — either no parking available or tiny, cramped underground lots with narrow ramps (I read many reviews online and got a bit worried about driving in). After much research, I finally chose Hotel Tandem, right next to the train station square 🚉. The bus to the EU Parliament runs every five minutes from there, super convenient for my husband. Even better — right across the street is a huge public parking garage where hotel guests get a discounted rate of only €12 for 24 hours. Other hotels typically charge around €20 per day for parking, so this was a great bonus! 🅿️💶 The hotel looked nice in photos, but I didn’t have high expectations because the price was quite affordable (€130 per night for a double room with breakfast). To my surprise, it exceeded my expectations by a lot, and even my husband’s friends at the meeting were envious!
