Following the footsteps of Khun Phaen, Wat Pa Lelaiyok @ Suphan Buri

Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan is an ancient temple located on Malai Man Road, Raw Yai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Suphan Buri. Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan is a third-class royal temple, Worawihan level. The Northern Chronicles stated that King Kata ordered the Mon Noi to renovate Wat Pa Lelai later in 1724. People would come to pay homage to “Luang Pho To”, which is enshrined in the temple, standing tall and visible from afar. It is a Buddha statue in the Pa Lelai posture, in the art style of the U Thong Suphan Buri period. Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan appears in the Thai literary work Khun Chang Khun Phaen, when Phlai Kaew was ordained as a novice. At that time, it was still Wat Pa Lelai.
