Suwa Taisha Upper Shrine Front Shrine Main Shrine

#FuriTabi Kamisha Maemiya, said to be the birthplace of Suwa faith, is a shrine built on a hill. This is the only place where you can touch all four of the Onbashira. Kamisha Honmiya is a unique Suwa-style shrine with a single worship hall on either side of the main worship hall. Many precious buildings designated as important cultural properties remain. Suwa Taisha is the head shrine of the 25,000 Suwa shrines across the country. Many people know it as the shrine that holds the Onbashira Festival, famous for its tree-falling. Suwa Taisha is divided into Kamisha and Shimosha by Lake Suwa, and each has two shrines, making it a rare shrine. These four Suwa Taisha shrines basically worship the same god, and each has four Onbashira. Although these shrines have many things in common, each has its own unique charm, and the "four shrine tour" that visits the four shrines in order is gaining popularity.
