The Ritz-Carlton, Suzhou is definitely not the worst Ritz-Carlton in Mainland China.

📍The Ritz-Carlton, Suzhou ▪️As a Ritz-Carlton fan and Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Platinum member, I'm thrilled to have a Ritz-Carlton in my hometown! I've been looking forward to it for a long time. Finally, I visited on the fifth day after its opening! Initially, I saw 👀 everyone's posts complaining about the quality, but after seeing it in person, I can responsibly tell you that it's not that bad! ▪️First, let's talk about the location. The Ritz-Carlton, Suzhou is located in Shilu. According to Suzhou locals, it's not a popular area, but it's close to Suzhou Railway Station. 🤔 Plus, it's not far from Seven Mile Shantang, the Humble Administrator's Garden, and Pingjiang Road. It's actually quite convenient for friends 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 traveling from other cities! ▪️Also, the most controversial part online is the hotel's style. The initial photos did give off a slight "cheap" vibe, with netizens jokingly calling it "Ritz-Carlton Courtyard." However, once inside, you'll find the quality of a luxury hotel is still there! Especially the design, layout, and materials used in the rooms, they don't feel cheap at all. And that black exterior is super cool! ▪️Some small details in the hotel's public areas, such as the welcoming pine trees and the check-in desk, are very luxurious. The front desk area even reminded me of my favorite watch brand, Audemars Piguet's boutique (yes, the AP store has the same style). However, the view does have some flaws! It's great that there's no new hotel smell in the rooms! ▪️As a newly opened hotel, there are some common issues, such as some lingering smells in the corridors, the concierge needing more training, and the hotel's relatively small scale. But I can honestly say it's not as bad as what's been said online. 🙈 But it definitely can't compare to the one in Nanjing. Ps: As a fan who has stayed at over sixty Ritz-Carltons worldwide 🌍, it's incredibly meaningful to have a key card from my hometown as a souvenir!
