Taiwan Historical Street-Dihua Street

#Taiwan City Attractions Dihua Street is famous for its New Year's goods. The Dihua Street known to the public is located in Section 1 of Dihua Street south of the Taipei Bridge. It is part of Dadaocheng and has witnessed the development of Taiwan's international trade and commerce. From the late Qing Dynasty to the early Japanese occupation, Dadaocheng's trade was mainly focused on groceries and tea. After the restoration, it became a concentration of wholesalers of northern and southern goods, Chinese medicine and cloth. To this day, Dihua Street still retains its old street characteristics and has not changed much. Transportation: 1. Exit the MRT Beimen Station and walk west along Civic Boulevard to Water Gate No. 3 (about 15 minutes’ walk). 2. Exit the MRT Daqiaotou Station, walk south along Chongqing North Road to Minsheng West Road, and then walk west to Water Gate No. 5 (walking time is about 18 minutes).
