Taoyuan Nanchang Forest Sports Park: A Perfect Spot for Kids, Family Strolls, and Pet-Friendly Fun

Our family has been frequenting the "Nanchang Forest Sports Park" lately! This park, which was formerly the site of the Army's 21st Artillery Command, has been transformed into a multifunctional park blending greenery and sports. It retains nearly 500 trees and features from the old military base (such as guard posts, gates, and slogans) while adding many family-friendly sports facilities. Our kids especially love the badminton courts here—they insist on playing a game before heading home. There's also a basketball court, a covered leisure plaza, and a PU running track, so there's no worry about rainy days. The expansive lawns are perfect for picnics, running, and ball games. Adults can enjoy a relaxing stroll while kids run and play to their hearts' content. The park also features clean restrooms and convenient parking, making it very user-friendly. One unique feature is the park's connection to the "Taolin Bike Path," a popular 10.3-kilometer cycling and walking trail. Sometimes, we take a bike ride for a mini adventure. Additionally, we recommend visiting the nearby "Dayou Terrace Ecological Park" for scenic views and a closer connection to nature, making your trip even more enriching. If you have pets, there's no need to worry. The park includes a pet-friendly area where your furry friends can walk and run freely. It's truly a great place for the whole family to unwind together. 📍 The park is located on Xiangshan Street in Taoyuan District and has two parking lots: the first is near the covered plaza and restrooms, while the second is closer to the PU running track. You can choose your parking spot based on your planned activities. We highly recommend visiting when you have the chance.
