Hooker Valley Track: A Journey to New Zealand’s Iconic Alpine Beauty

We set out to hike the Hooker Valley Track in spring, excited to witness the alpine beauty and the change of season. Snow started gently falling, transforming the landscape into a winter wonderland. It was a rare sight for spring, and we couldn’t help but marvel at how the fresh snowfall blanketed the valley, adding a layer of serene beauty to the towering peaks around us. The views throughout the hike were absolutely breathtaking, with Mount Cook looming majestically in the distance, its snow-capped summit even more striking against the new layer of snow. The Hooker River’s turquoise waters flowed beneath icy bridges, and the snow-dusted meadows looked like something out of a postcard. The quiet, stillness of the snow-covered landscape made the hike even more magical.
