Semporna (Mabul Island & Kapalai) is perfect for photos and fun~

Finally, I have become someone who can write about Semporna!! Today, I’ll share my personal experience and the time schedule for a one-day island hopping tour of Mabul Island + Kapalai. Accommodation: Stay in Semporna town, where there are many housing options and it’s cheaper. Meeting point: Gather at Longmen Inn Pier at 9:00 AM. It takes about 45 minutes by yacht to reach the destination, with waves lasting about an hour. The yacht ride is quite windy, so it’s recommended for girls to tie their hair up to avoid tangling. Photo session: Arrive at Mabul Island at 9:40 AM. There is an island fee of 50 MYR per person. Photos can only be taken on the water villas, not on the island itself. The photo time is long enough, so you can take plenty of pictures. It’s recommended to wear solid-colored clothes as they match well with the glass. Gather at 12:00 PM for lunch, then change into swimsuits to prepare for snorkeling. Snorkeling: Depart for snorkeling at 12:50 PM (Mabul Island). There are two snorkeling sessions. The first is at Mabul Island. After changing into swimsuits, you’ll take a boat out to the sea for snorkeling. An instructor will first teach you how to use the snorkeling gear and safety precautions. During snorkeling, an instructor will accompany you and can help take photos (those skilled can free dive). Snorkeling: Depart for snorkeling at 1:30 PM (Kapalai Island). The second snorkeling session. Compared to the first, you’ll be more familiar with the waters and can relax more to enjoy the underwater world. The instructor will bring some fish food to attract fish, so you can take more photos. (If you’re skilled, ask the instructor to take you for free diving to shoot videos for better photos.) Return: Prepare to return at 2:30 PM. The return trip takes about 45 minutes, with waves lasting about an hour. Arrival: 3:30 PM (Tour ends successfully). Then you can freshen up at the hotel and go out to eat. Local people sell seafood at the pier, remember to bargain. There are many nearby processing restaurants with diverse flavors, so you can choose according to your preference.
