Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral

Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral is the largest Orthodox church in Georgia and one of the country's spiritual symbols. It is located on Mount Elia on the left bank of the Kura River in Tbilisi and was built between 1995 and 2004. Architectural features The main building of the church is nearly 100 meters high, with a dome as high as 7.5 meters, all covered with pure gold, half of which was donated by Georgians. The stone carvings on the exterior walls are exquisite, and the cathedral complex includes courtyard walls, bell towers, and several small chapels. The church can be seen from every corner of the city. It is built in the Georgian style, with luxurious interior decorations, exquisite murals and ornaments, and a sacred and solemn atmosphere. Visitor information The church is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. Visitors can visit for free. There are 12 columns on both sides of the avenue outside the church, with crosses of different shapes on top, representing the 12 disciples of Jesus.
