Vajiralongkorn Dam

#VisitKanchanaburi “Vachiralongkorn Dam” is the first rockfill dam in Thailand that is paved with reinforced concrete. It is located on the Kwai Noi River in Tha Khanun Subdistrict, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province. The Vajiralongkorn Dam helps reduce the amount of water in the rainy season. In the dry season, it can also release water to push out saltwater and wastewater from industrial factories on both sides of the Mae Klong River. This improves the quality of the water in the Mae Klong River for the public. The Vajiralongkorn Dam is considered another multi-purpose dam in Thailand.
