Tiantai, Guoqing Temple | Witness the Blooming of the Millennium Sui Plum

I've visited Guoqing Temple almost every year for the past few years. This time of year coincides with the blooming of the temple's thousand-year-old Sui Plum. Even though I woke up early, I still encountered large crowds. In my opinion, there are two optimal spots for plum blossom viewing: one is the Mei Pavilion, where you can admire the blossoms up close, but it gets very crowded if you arrive late; the other is the viewing platform at the Guanyin Hall, where you can capture the distant Sui Pagoda in your photos if the weather is good. The plum blossoms have a short blooming period, so if you plan to visit, be sure to go soon, or you'll have to wait until next year.
