Tirana's Resurrection of Christ Cathedral 🇦🇱

The Resurrection of Christ Cathedral, located in the heart of Tirana, Albania, is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox churches in the Balkans. Consecrated in 2014, it was designed by New York-based architect Steven P. Papadatos. The cathedral complex includes the main cathedral, the chapel of the Nativity, the bell tower, the residence of the Holy Synod, a cultural center, a library, two other chapels, and a small museum. The cathedral's dome stands at a height of 32.2 meters, with the bell tower reaching 46 meters. The cathedral was officially opened on June 24, 2012, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the revival of the Albanian Orthodox Church and the election of Archbishop Anastasios of Albania. Today, it serves as a significant religious and cultural landmark in Albania.
