This Japanese sweets shop is loved by Yoshimi Tendo✨ If you're near Yao, you should definitely stop by!!! We visited. The shop's quaint thatched-roof building is said to be over 300 years old. The townhouse, which was once used as a Kawachi cotton wholesaler during the Edo period, was purchased by the founder, Yohei Itakura, during the Taisho period and used as a Japanese sweets shop for about 100 years. It was the first registered tangible cultural property in Yao.
