Ueno, Tokyo. Take a break with zenzai and small taiyaki at Torindo Ueno Branch

Ueno, Tokyo. Across the street is Tokyo University of the Arts. On the corner of the corridor, you can see a Japanese sweets shop called Torindo Ueno. I visited in January. I saw a sign for "Ko-taiyaki." "Valen Tai-n." A chocolate-covered small taiyaki filled with white bean paste and hassaku peel. I'm a sucker for ideas like this. Since I was there, I also tried "Zenzai" and the shop's recommended "Uguisu Mochi." The eat-in space inside the store is cutely decorated, and I enjoyed eating Japanese sweets😊 The zenzai is filled with freshly baked mochi, and is a highly satisfying and recommended menu item.
