Stay at Hotel Vista Tokyo Tsukiji Near Tsukiji Market in Tokyo, Japan

Moving from Ueno to Tsukiji Market, I checked into the chain business hotel 'Hotel Vista Tokyo Tsukiji', conveniently located between East Ginza and Tsukiji Market, close to Ginza, Yurakucho, and Shinbashi, which is why a significant number of foreigners stay here, outnumbering Asian tourists by a large margin. Foreigners love to have breakfast early; the hotel starts serving breakfast at 7 am, and within less than 10 minutes, it's packed! Out of ten people, eight are Westerners & seniors. The restaurant space can hardly accommodate so many people; it's really crowded, and the on-the-spot response is not great, which is a small downside. The meals are standard, with the specialty being the Tsukiji Market's tamagoyaki sandwich. Vista's lobby is not big, but the decor is quite grand, with a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows making a difference, and the greenery along the sidewalk adds a lot to the atmosphere. Vista's rooms are slightly larger than those of hotels like Apa. The medium-sized single room I stayed in is almost 5 tatami mats in size, with no problem laying out 2-3 suitcases, and the room rate including breakfast is $2400, which is much more comfortable than budget business hotels. However, breakfast is optional. I like to change places to stay; the advantage is that I can explore the unique shops in the area, not just the well-known attractions. For example, the Miyazaki Hayao Clock in Yurakucho or the Japanese garden surrounded by high-rises, Hamarikyu Gardens, are not less beautiful because they have fewer tourists; they require more physical effort to discover.
