[Shimousaya Shokudo] Get lost in a Showa era drama

#TokyoTrip While wandering around the Ryogoku area, I was drawn into a traditional restaurant. It's a restaurant that looks like it could have come out of a Showa era TV drama. It seems to have been used as a location for filming, and there are signs scattered around the restaurant. The mackerel is deliciously seasoned, and the pork soup is somewhat reminiscent of chanko. The regular portion of rice is served in a bowl. When I see places like this, I wonder if Tokyo used to be a warmer city? I wonder, but maybe it's because of the times or the city. I still don't know.
