#Japanese Hotel The 5-star Windsor Spa Resort Toyako in Hokkaido was the main venue for the 2008 G8 Summit, where all the leaders of the eight countries stayed. Nowadays, with the increase in Chinese guests (free travelers), it has become a veritable Internet celebrity hotel. It was not easy to see Chinese people here 7 years ago, and it is really not easy to see Japanese people now. However, I still like this place every time I come to Lake Toya, especially the hotel’s private ski resort is really great. The hotel enjoys a superior geographical location. No matter which room you stay in, you will either be looking at the Uchiura Bay sea view of the Pacific Ocean or the Toya Lake. It is not easy to find a second hotel with such a view in the whole of Japan. The Windsor Hotel Toyako is impeccable from the perspective of pure accommodation. But the only drawback is that the sound insulation of the guest room on the corridor side is extremely poor. It is easy to hear embarrassing noises when passing by other rooms early in the morning. The room does not include dinner, because I am used to most hot spring hotels in Hokkaido that include dinner. Maybe this is not a hot spring hotel in the strict sense, and hot springs are really not the selling point here. Especially in winter, I feel a little cold walking from the room to the hot spring pool, and the hot spring pool is very small. The hotel has a Michelin 2-star French restaurant, Japanese cuisine, and teppanyaki. I enjoyed teppanyaki twice in a row. The restaurant faces Lake Toya and has a great view. The last picture was taken in the room, with the view of Lake Toya outside the window. The most beautiful scenery in the south of Hokkaido is here, and Lake Toya, Mount Yotei, and Liushou are also within the field of vision.
