Kantang Railway Station

Kantang Railway Station is a single-storey wooden hip roof building painted in mustard yellow and brown, the main color combination familiar to most railway buildings. The building is divided into 2 parts: the main building and the platform. The front of the building has a protruding porch, decorated with unique wood carvings from the reign of King Rama VI. It is now registered as an ancient monument by the Fine Arts Department. The main building is made of rooms with wooden walls that are arranged in a rough style, with diagonal wooden lattice vents and old-style wooden doors and windows. The hall has wooden bars and small cute doors to separate the area. At the back of the building is a platform with a separate gable roof. The pillars supporting the roof of the platform are supported by decorative fretwork to blend in with the building. #TravelSouth #TravelTrang #WaitingForDeparture
