Norway~Tromso~Arctic Cathedral

114.03.15 Continue driving to Tromsø, Norway There was a lot of snow and wind along the way. It was another special self-driving trip 🚙 Lunch: I followed Lisa to taste "whale meat" 🐳 #The fish tastes a bit like tuna. Friends who come here can try it if they have a chance. After lunch, we visited the Arctic Cathedral #KuiMingChang and I were walking at the back and we accidentally entered through a door that didn’t require a ticket 😝 The place we stayed at night was great ~ very new 👍🏻 with a large kitchen and a living room with a great view. Breakfast 3 The homemade "bread pudding" made by the sisters in the car is super delicious 😋😋 The Arctic Cathedral was built in 1965 by Jan Inge Hovig. It is also known as Tromsdalen Kirke. Tromsdalen is the name of a village connected to the main island of Tromsøya by a sea-crossing bridge. Due to its high terrain, this beautiful landmark, which looks like an iceberg floating on the sea, cannot be missed from any angle in Tromsø. The structure of the church is made up of 11 pure white bricks stacked on top of each other, resembling an iceberg or an aurora curtain. Behind the cross on the front hang two clocks made by O.Olsen & Søns clock company, decorated with a Bible and a dove respectively. The overall style is simple and solemn. The wall facing the seats is a stained glass window designed by artist Victor Sparre, which uses 86 pieces of glass to form this huge stained glass window. The theme is the return of Jesus, with God's palm at the top, emitting three rays of light, passing through Jesus, man and woman respectively, representing the Trinity. The church is furnished with oak pews, with an altar in front and a large column chandelier hanging above. The organ at the rear was built in 2005 and has a total of 2,940 wind pipes, the longest of which is 32 feet long and the shortest is only 5 millimeters. #Norway is beautiful but the prices are very high 🤣🤣
