Wat Phra That Nong Bua

Wat Phra That Nong Bua, Ubon Ratchathani Province 🙏It is an important temple in Ubon Ratchathani Province. Inside the temple, there is interesting architecture, namely the Phra That Chedi Si Maha Pho, which was built to symbolize the 25th century anniversary of Buddhism in 1957. The Phra That Chedi Si Maha Pho was modeled after the Chedi in Bodh Gaya, India. It is a place where the relics of the Lord Buddha are enshrined. Around the chedi is a glass wall, and at each of the four corners of the glass wall are four smaller chedis. 🐍In front of the Phra That Chedi Si Maha Pho, there are two large statues of "Phaya Nak Chapyaputta" or rainbow-colored Naga, which are Grandfather Kritchakot and Grandmother Maniket, 15 meters high and 58.85 meters long. These are very beautiful rainbow-colored Nagas and belong to the Chapyaputta family. Their skin or scales are rainbow-colored.
