Tsujirihei Honten

During our exploration of Kyoto, we visited this shop and discovered some amazing sweets and matcha. The woman working there was exceptionally kind, and despite the challenging language barrier, we were able to communicate well enough to get our questions answered and leave with some delicious snacks. My favorite was the matcha rice crackers - they were very crispy and held up well on the flight home. I'm glad I picked up several bags. Truly unique. We also enjoyed freshly prepared matcha while at the shop.
