It was bigger than I imagined... The day I was overwhelmed by the Ushiku Buddha

#0yentrip I went to Ushiku Daibutsu in Ibaraki Prefecture! I'd seen it in pictures, but when I actually stood in front of it, I was really surprised by its size. It's just huge!! Apparently it's 120m long, and I was looking up so much that my neck hurt when I got close (lol) You can go inside, and there are Buddhist exhibits and an observation deck, so it's worth seeing not only the exterior but also the inside. The surroundings are pretty peaceful, so I enjoyed a leisurely stroll! I recommend going on a sunny day! --- Basic information about the place ・Place name: Ushiku Daibutsu ・Location: 2083 Kunomachi, Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture ・Access: About 30 minutes by bus from Ushiku Station on the JR Joban Line ・Characteristics: A 120m tall bronze statue, one of the largest in the world. The interior is 5 stories high, with exhibits and an observation floor. --- Visited the Ushiku Daibutsu in Ibaraki, and wow—it was way bigger than I expected! Standing at 120 meters tall, it’s one of the tallest Buddha statues in the world. Seeing it up close was honestly jaw-dropping. I kept looking up until my neck started to hurt (totally worth it). You can even go inside to explore the exhibits and enjoy the view from the observation deck. The area around it is peaceful, perfect for a slow stroll.
