Magnificent Naga Cave, Sri Mongkol Rattanaram Forest Temple

Naga Cave, Wat Pa Sri Mongkhon Rattanaram, Tambon Kok Jan, Amphoe Uthumphon Phisai, Si Sa Ket Province. The beauty of this cave was created from the belief in the Naga, which was once incarnated as a Naga. The abbot and devotees therefore joined together to build a church that enshrines a Buddha statue similar to the Naga Palace in literature. Inside the cave, there is a magnificent and graceful Naga statue, as well as a replica of stalactites and stalagmites, decorated with multi-colored light bulbs, giving the feeling of being in an underwater Naga cave that looks mysterious and sacred. At the entrance of the cave, there are flower trays for paying homage to the Buddha statue and the Naga King. Inside, it is a replica of an underground palace cave, with a white jade Buddha statue and two large Naga statues protecting the white jade Buddha statue. The sides of the Naga’s body have beautiful patterns that look intimidating. The ceiling of the cave is also decorated with stalactites and stalagmites, decorated with multi-colored lights. It also collects large statues of the Naga Kings, all 4 families, 9 Naga Kings, and the Naga Kings that the Lord Buddha once incarnated as Naga Kings.
