Bathing in the Ganges

The Ganges is a sacred river that symbolizes India, and the river itself is deified and worshipped. Hundreds of cremations take place along the Ganges in Varanasi every day, and many travelers from all over the world visit the area to see India's view of life and death. There is a crematorium nearby. I was called out to and followed. It was the first time I had ever thought so much about death. At the end, I was told that it would cost a lot of money for the firewood, so I was told that it was okay to refuse, even though it might be painful. I paid it. I thought it was a good tip.
