That Wanaka Tree - the lonely creature in the lake

#aprilblooms The town surrounds the lake of the same name, famous for That Wanaka Tree. “Naturally” 70 years ago, a willow branch grew in the middle of the lake, growing over the years and becoming the representative image of Wanaka. In the autumn morning, the sky is clear, the clouds are gently rolling, the lake reflects the rows of poplar trees, the snow-capped mountains... Just taking a walk around the lake and sitting on the shore reading a book is more than enough. Wanaka is probably most beautiful in summer and autumn. Spring and summer (November ~ March) are the peak tourist seasons in New Zealand, Wanaka is always crowded with tourists. In autumn, the scenery is passionate, and is also my favorite season of the year. Late autumn and early winter (around early May) are a bit calm and quiet.
