This small temple in Wuhan has become popular for a reason.

Gude Temple on Gongnongbing Road, Erqi, was discovered by accident when I first started working. I went there several times, and there were never many people. The incense fee was 8 yuan, then it was free, and now the ticket is 13 yuan. It was built in the third year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. The hall uses the structure of ancient Roman architecture, with a corridor and many square columns between the inner and outer walls. The round and long windows on the facade are in the style of a Christian church. The pagoda finials of its nine pagodas look like both weather vanes and crosses, making it unique in Chinese pagoda culture. It is one of the four major Buddhist temples in Wuhan. The address of the temple, Erqi, also has a lot of history. It is closely related to the "February 7th Strike" that occurred in 1923, which is mentioned in history textbooks.
