The Sanli Stage is located in the center of Sanli Old Street in Sanli Town, Wuxuan County. It was built in the 12th year of the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty (1873 AD). It faces south and is a two-story brick and wood structure with an area of 140 square meters. The front of the stage is 2.10 meters high, 8.60 meters wide, and 5 meters deep. The stage is 5 meters high from the stage to the roof. The main ridge is painted with patterns such as double dragons spitting beads and scrolls. The eaves are exquisitely carved with various musical instruments and ornaments. The entire stage has white walls and green tiles, and the red lacquered wooden pillars are carved with dragons and phoenixes. There are two back doors in the stage, and there is a delicately carved wooden window between the two back doors. The couplets on both sides are: The sound of the wind is refreshing, and the song is delicate and the white clouds are blocked. Above the front window, there is a narrative figure painting of the life of the officials and ladies in the Ming Dynasty. The width is about 6.30 meters and the height is about 1.40 meters. The brushwork is delicate, the figures are vivid, and the ancient meaning is full. The picture has gone through the years like smoke, and it is now old and dilapidated, and many places have peeled off, but it can still convey the elegance and confidence of the composition overflowing with decorative meaning. The stage sky, ingenious conception, bamboo-shaped tube tiles, flowing water on all sides, the middle of the eaves is exquisitely carved with the emperor's court picture, inspiring the world to respect literature and study, study and enter the official career, and glorify the ancestors. The two sides are carved with figures and scroll patterns, which are antique. The couplets on the two pillars in front of the stage are: Climbing the wonderful high platform is a good day to spread the ancient times, The micro song and dance are colorful, and thousands of people listen to the eight sounds in harmony. From the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China, Wuxuan County had 3 stages in the county, one stage in Sanli, Er Tang, and Tongling, and only Sanli Stage remains.
