The moment I stepped onto the bluestone path into Wushang Guesthouse, I knew this trip would be worth every penny. The spring sunlight on the white walls was refreshingly warm, the orange sofa was heart-meltingly soft, and the owner smiled as he took our luggage and helped us check in. My excitement was already soaring: the design! the riverside views! a perfect getaway with my bestie! The spring sunlight pours through the courtyard skylight - spring sunshine has weight to it, like warm honey spilling through the windows, making the viewing deck at Wushang Guesthouse glow with a soft radiance. Enjoying the spring sunshine on the vintage yet elegant wooden furniture, reading a book, sipping coffee, chatting with my bestie - everything makes for perfect photos. The owner helped carry our luggage to our room - we booked the cinematic vintage-style twin room with 180° floor-to-ceiling windows that first greet you with views of the sparkling river. Two differently styled soft beds offer two distinct experiences, and from the balcony, you can see the small river beside the guesthouse. Just gazing at the scenery doing nothing, I suddenly understood the ancient Chinese saying about "stealing half a day of leisure from life." As the sunset gilds the river with gold, we toast while soaking in the white porcelain bathtub by the window. The mountain breeze lifts the curtains, bringing the sounds of nature from across the river. The aroma of coffee wafts up from downstairs, and my bestie suddenly says, "Staying here for three days gives us enough content for half a year of social media posts."
