Xi'an! My third stay! I love this budget-friendly hotel.

Xi'an Chanba Shangri-La Hotel: An Experience with Both Surprises and Room for Improvement A while ago, my partner and I celebrated our second anniversary, and we also brought my mother and aunt to Xi'an for a trip. We chose to stay at the Xi'an Chanba Shangri-La Hotel, and this experience left a lasting impression on me. ✅Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The hotel excels in both soundproofing and cleanliness. The rooms are well-insulated, effectively blocking out external noise, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful rest. The cleaning was meticulous, with every corner of the room spotless, the bedding tidy, and no unpleasant odors in the bathroom. 🏘️Room Type/Layout: The hotel is a stand-alone building. Although it's not very tall, the environment is beautiful, and there's a pleasant garden. The overall decor is quite new, stylish, and grand. The room layout is reasonable, and the space is well-utilized, making it feel comfortable and relaxing. 🛌Amenities/Facilities: The rooms are equipped with local Xi'an drinking water, which is excellent quality, comparable to Voss. The welcome fruit platter was abundant and diverse, and they even thoughtfully provided Terracotta Army chocolates, a nice local touch. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, although the pool is outsourced. I hope they can manage leisure facilities more independently in the future. 💰Average Cost Per Person: We stayed during a peak season, so the exact cost varies depending on the room type and length of stay. Overall, the price is mid-range compared to similar hotels. Breakfast is an additional CNY 68 per person. 💗Other Tips: - Perks: My partner and I are both Gold members, so the hotel offered four complimentary breakfasts. Since there were five of us, we purchased an additional breakfast after discussing it with the hotel. It's worth mentioning that since it was our anniversary, after informing the hotel, they thoughtfully decorated the room in advance and gifted us a bottle of red wine, which was very heartwarming. The executive lounge access was originally for two people for three days, but we discussed it with the duty manager to see if all five of us could enjoy it once, and the manager readily agreed. The service was very accommodating. - Breakfast: The breakfast selection is extensive, featuring local Xi'an specialties like rou jia mo, and the Danish pastries in the pastry section were also delicious, catering to various tastes. - Executive Lounge: A foreign gentleman was in charge of happy hour, adding a unique atmosphere. They offer three types of cocktails and many non-alcoholic beverages, and you can also ask the staff to make simple drinks. The food includes both meat and vegetarian dishes, like braised pork and green vegetables, offering familiar and delicious options. However, during certain peak periods, the lounge is closed, and happy hour is moved to the lobby bar on the first floor, which is relatively less private. - Location: The hotel is located in the old city of Xi'an, within the first ring road. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation and many attractions and restaurants nearby. However, because it's in the old city, the hotel is relatively smaller than other Hilton hotels of the same level. - Service: Most of the hotel staff are warm and attentive, check-in was efficient, and they met many of our reasonable requests. However, there were a few staff members who seemed expressionless. I hope they can strengthen staff service awareness training. Overall, the hotel has many satisfying aspects and some areas for improvement. I look forward to an even more perfect experience in the future.
