A Stay at the Waldorf Astoria Xiamen: An In-Depth Look at Urban Luxury I recently stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Xiamen and had a rich and unique experience. Here, I'd like to share my personal and subjective feelings. 💴Average Spend: I booked a Deluxe Guest Room with a view for nearly CNY 2,000 a night, which is mid-to-high-end. Combining the hotel's location, service, and facilities, it offers good value for those who seek a high-quality stay and are less price-sensitive. However, it may be expensive for travelers on a budget. 🛏️Amenities/Facilities: - Location and Surroundings: The hotel is located in Siming District, which is an excellent location. It is more centrally located than the Andaz and Seven Villa, making it easy to get around. There is a small path downstairs leading to Lotus Park. Along the way, you can not only enjoy the scenery, but also taste Xiamen's famous Lotus Fried Crab. The ginger duck in the restaurant is also delicious. There are also several cute and beautiful coffee shops along the way. - Room Amenities: The check-in process at the front desk around 3 PM was very smooth. The mini bar in the room is completely free. However, the room did not provide welcome fruit, bedtime chocolates, or eye masks. The hair dryer was not a Dyson, but an old-fashioned one. The bedding was excellent. Although I could hear a whooshing sound like a strong wind at night, both day and night, it did not affect my sleep much. - Leisure Facilities: The gym is open 24 hours. After 10 PM, you can swipe your card to enter. It is fully equipped, even with medicine balls that many five-star hotels do not have. 🏠Room Type/Layout: The Deluxe Guest Room with a view that I booked has a reasonable layout and clear functional zoning, which can meet a variety of needs for rest and leisure. The overall design is luxurious and sophisticated. 🧹Soundproofing/Hygiene: The overall hygiene of the room was good, clean and tidy. Although there were some strange noises in terms of soundproofing, they did not affect the quality of sleep. 💗Other tips: - Dining Experience: The breakfast selection is average, including the usual items found in other five-star hotels, but the satay noodles were not authentic. However, the restaurant environment is very suitable for taking pictures. - Service Experience: When I called to ask for a mobile phone charger and sanitary napkins, the staff were able to deliver them quickly, and the service response was prompt. - Photo Experience: The hotel's decor is luxurious and sophisticated, making it very photogenic. You can take beautiful photos no matter what style of clothing you wear. - Overall Evaluation: This hotel is worth staying at least once. Whether it is the location advantage, the unique decoration style, or the complete leisure facilities, there are many highlights. During my stay, it happened to be Jolin Tsai's concert, and the lobby was full of fans discussing the concert, creating a lively atmosphere.
