3.13 Siguniang Mountain Status Report: Catch the Tail End of the Ski Season!

Siguniang Mountain has been incredibly beautiful recently! Not only is there snow, but also sunshine and blue skies! It's super photogenic! [Siguniang Mountain Status] 1⃣ It's the off-season at Siguniang Mountain from March to May, so there are very few people and basically no cars on the road. Say goodbye to traffic jams! 2⃣ The snowmelt ❄ from the high altitudes is gradually flowing into Shuangqiao Valley and Changping Valley, making the lake water clearer and the grasslands along the banks are starting to turn green. 3⃣ It's really lacking oxygen. Since the plants 🌲 haven't grown in yet, the oxygen content is really lower than in summer. The grasslands gradually turn green starting at the end of April. Mid-May to June is the best time to see them. Late May to July is the flower season at Siguniang Mountain. Snow-capped mountains, grasslands, and glaciers all in one. ✨ Must-sees: Budala Peak road blockbuster, Hongshanlin glacier hike, rafting (open in summer) ⚠️ Drawbacks: You can't see the main peak of Siguniang Mountain. 2⃣ Changping Valley (Hiker's Paradise) ✅ Features: Virgin forest + snow-capped mountain wonderland 🌲, a mix of wooden plank roads and horse trails, suitable for light hiking. ✨ Must-sees: Praying at Lama Temple, camping at Muluozi Pasture, taking photos of Yaomei Peak's silhouette. ⏳ Time required: About 6-8 hours for the entire hike, it is recommended to start early! 3⃣ Haizi Valley (First Choice for Hardcore Outdoor Enthusiasts) ✅ Features: Horseback riding through alpine lakes 🐎, few people and wild scenery!
