Pingtung Xiaoliuqiu: Worth visiting again and again

Many Taiwanese people come to Xiaoliuqiu, Pingtung during holidays. I have visited the island three times or more. The island makes people feel comfortable, leisurely and free, and there are many delicious foods on the island. There are different water activities on the island, including diving and snorkeling. Many people participate. The water on the island is like glass, so it is called glass water. It is suitable for water activities at any time of the year. Most people will play diving. There will be self-funded intertidal zone activities at night that are worth participating in, so that you can learn more about the marine life on the island. It is easy to see turtles on the island, but remember not to touch them. Touching and harassing turtles is illegal locally, and there is a great chance to see turtles in Xiaoliuqiu. But if it rains heavily, the sea water will be very turbid. The first day of diving was very different from what I expected. The second day, the sea water seemed to be clearer, so I decided to dive again on the second day. The visibility was much better than the first day. There are locomotives, electric scooters or electric bicycles available for rent on the island. Even if you don’t have a scooter 🛵 driving license, you can choose an electric scooter 🛵, because electric scooters do not require a driver’s license to drive ☺️. If you want to walk around the island, I don't think many people would do this! There are many scenic spots on the island that are worth visiting, such as: White Lighthouse, Shanfu Fishing Port, Vase Rock, Black Ghost Cave... etc. If you arrive at Xiaoliuqiu very early on the first day, basically 2 days and 1 night is enough. If you can walk around the island for 3 days and 2 nights, you can relax and spend less time. So I personally recommend that you stay on the island for 3 days☺️. Transportation: There are many boats departing from Pingtung Port to the island every day. The voyage is only about 30 minutes; but sometimes there will be big waves, and the boat will fluctuate greatly. In addition, during the long holidays in Taiwan, many Taiwanese people will visit the island, so if you plan to visit the island, you must book accommodation at least 2-3 months in advance. Although there are many homestays on the island, it is often difficult to find a room during the holidays.
