First time spending the Lunar New Year in Xichang (4 days and 3 nights, relaxing version)

❤️ Depart on the first day of the Lunar New Year and return on the fourth day. It was so nice to enjoy the sunshine every day in winter. The only downside was that it was too dry and windy! Be sure to bring a sun hat and drink plenty of water. 🎉 Hotel: We chose Xichang Konggang Yunxiang Hotel, which is right next to Xiaoyucun. The environment is elegant. We booked two rooms: one with a courtyard for us and the kids, and one with a balcony for the elderly. We requested that the rooms be arranged together, and they were just upstairs and downstairs. We enjoyed the sunshine and tea in the courtyard every day, which was really chill. The kids loved swinging in the children's play area and checked in every morning after breakfast. The only downside was that the service was not up to par during the Lunar New Year, and the breakfast was average. Everything else was fine. 🎉 Fun: There were a lot of people at Xichang's attractions during the Lunar New Year. We spent two days in Xiaoyucun. There is a bird ecology museum, which is very suitable for children. There were surprisingly few people. There are various bird fossils, bird photography exhibitions, and interactive programs. It took us nearly two hours to finish the tour, and we could experience VR for free at the end. (The kids had more material for their diaries) ✨ On the second day, we rode bicycles and electric bikes in Xiaoyucun and leisurely toured the greenway, taking deep breaths of fresh air. 🎉 Feeding seagulls: Remember to feed the seagulls in the morning! Bring your own bread. You can choose between Guanniao Island Wetland Park and the Qionghai Lake opposite Lushan Scenic Area. We chose to take a small boat to get close to the seagulls. ❤️ Jianchang Ancient Town: Jianchang Ancient Town is not big, with only one main road to climb, but it is still worth a visit. There is also a vegetable market, which is very lively. We couldn't stop eating the snacks along the way. We had fried dough sticks and oil tea at Sisters Oil Tea, which were delicious! ❤️ Food: We tried rice noodles, fire pit barbecue, Chinese food, and snacks. The following are the ones I would like to visit again. 🎉 1. Minghua Restaurant: The farmhouse fried jar meat was so delicious, fatty but not greasy, and went well with rice. The small pumpkin fish soup was also very delicious. 🎉 2. The rice noodles at Sanxiongdi Fresh Mutton Restaurant were amazing. Who understands how happy I was to see that pot of mint? 🎉 3. Jianxin Spicy Korean Potatoes: The cold noodles are a must-try! The seasoning was amazing, and everything else was fine. 🎉 4. Pinpin Wild Vegetable Copper Hot Pot: Meatballs, chicken, cured ribs, ham... The ingredients were very solid and suitable for all ages. There are two kinds of dipping sauces. I think the slightly spicy one is better. 🎉 We had a fire pit barbecue, but it was too average, so I won't recommend it. As for barbecue, I still prefer Feng Barbecue in Emei.
