Xia Bu Embroidery Museum, Xinyu, Jiangxi: A Niche Folk Museum

This is a non-profit private museum. The museum is small, with two floors. You can finish visiting it in half an hour. Although the museum is small, you will be touched when visiting it, because the exhibits here were collected by Teacher Zhang Xiaohong at the cost of her entire fortune, just to prevent Chinese craftsmanship from being spread overseas. This spirit is truly admirable! There are few exhibits on the first floor, but the screen in the lobby is an embroidery artwork. Every stitch is so delicate! On the right, there are some modern products made of Xia Bu embroidery, such as handbags and card holders. The second floor combines the office and the exhibition hall, displaying ancient embroidery textiles and the history of Xia Bu embroidery. There is a research room and a workshop. Someone is embroidering in the workshop, which can be seen through the glass, but you cannot enter. I think this is too torturous, because you cannot take a closer look even though it is right in front of you. If the embroidery process could be viewed up close, I think it would be more interesting.
