To the jungle of Yakushima island

In the primeval forest of this island, many Yaku cedar trees over thousands of years old live there, and the largest confirmed Yaku cedar "Jomon cedar" is said to be more than 7200 years old and has become a symbol of Yakushima. It is said that the mossy forest "Shiratani Unsuikyo", which has a lot of precipitation throughout the year and was nurtured by the rain, has become a model for the movie "Princess Mononoke".
