Experience the luxurious life of a feudal lord at the Yanagawa Domain Lord Tachibana Residence, Ohana

The 'Yanagawa Domain Lord Tachibana Residence, Ohana' was built in 1738 by the 5th lord of Yanagawa, Tachibana Sadatomo. Today, it has been transformed into a ryotei (traditional high-class Japanese restaurant) inn, still operated by the Tachibana family. During the Meiji era (1868-1912), the Tachibana family was granted the title of Count, and it was during this period that the foundation for the current appearance of 'Ohana' was established. Spanning approximately 7,000 tsubo (about 23,000 square meters), the entire area is designated as a National Place of Scenic Beauty in Japan. Within the grounds, there are buildings such as the 'Western-style Pavilion' and the 'Great Hall' built during the Meiji era, as well as the 'Shotoen' garden adorned with pine trees, all preserving the appearance from 100 years ago.
