99% of people don't know about the ancient sites in Shanxi, so take a look and cherish them!

We thought Daxinzhuang in Yanggao County of Datong was an ordinary village until our car stopped next to a square castle. Looking at the inscriptions that had been polished to a shine, we realized that this was a castle that had existed since the Ming Dynasty. In Datong and Shuozhou, Shanxi Province, there are ancient relics with the longest time span. What remains today is the ancient Great Wall that was renovated in the Ming Dynasty. On both sides of the long Great Wall, there are also countless ancient castles. Daxinzhuang is an ancient castle that was once a market. There is actually only a tall and majestic earthen castle standing in Daxinzhuang. A hundred years ago, it was just an isolated ancient castle. There was also a large city wall outside it, but it can no longer be seen now. After hundreds of years of wind and rain and man-made destruction, it is fortunate that it is still in good condition. Looking at these mottled walls, they bear the vicissitudes of time. The former mansions and courtyards no longer have the glory of the past. History is so magical. As time goes by, everything will be washed away by wind and rain and blown away by the fierce north wind in the northern border. In fact, if you drive all the way around Datong, you will find that there is a Ming Dynasty rammed earth Great Wall stretching for hundreds of kilometers on this road. Yes, it is a series of raised walls or small earth mounds on the plain. After hundreds of years of changes, these scarred border walls are still standing. Today, the Daxinzhuang Castle is not a scenic spot, but the interior of the castle is not open to the public. Through aerial photography, we can see some northern Shanxi houses from the 1960s and 1970s, as well as a lush tree. We don’t know who built them or what the house was used for. We just hope that these historical sites that were once left behind can still be preserved for a long time.
